Isaiah 30:18
So the Lord
must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord
is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for His help.
There are some services that offer uncontested divorces in as
little as 24 hours, and no matter what your financial health you can find someone to lend you money, for inflated interest
rates anyone can find mortgage approval. At the click of a mouse a person can view all the nakedness and
sex they want. We live in a microwave society. We have unlimited credit for the things we need, everything can
be attained faster than ever. We are a bunch of spoiled children crying out to our Father for what we want and
when He doesn't answer we grow fearful and anxious. The quick and easy answer is to turn to the world with it's abundant credit,
quick answers and gratification. Gone are the days that we have to suffer or endure trial. Broke: go borrow money--spend
all that--go bankrupt. Can't stand your wife--get a new one. She isn't sexy enough--go look at a younger one.
The Lord is waiting for us. He is waiting for us to come
to Him, to wait on Him. He is promising faithfulness and blessings to those who wait on Him.
In Isaiah 30:15 we read Only
in returning to Me and resting in Me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.
Gracious Father, we thank You for being so patient
with us.
Forgive us for looking for quick easy answers to life's troubles.
Grow our faith in Your promises Father. Let our quietness and
confidence in You be our strength.
In Jesus' Name.
Amen
